Can you believe it's already October? The nights are drawing in, the leaves are turning those gorgeous gold and red hues, and it's definitely time to get cosy.
Here at the studio, we think autumn is the perfect season to refocus on your well-being, and what better way to do that than with some Pilates? We’re all about keeping our space a genuinely welcoming environment—a little haven where you stretch out on a mat, leave the outside world behind, and have a good stretch, strengthen, and perhaps even a bit of a giggle!

In November Phil is heading to Nepal to trek the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. His 17 day walk will take him up to Kanchenjunga basecamp at 5,300m. Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest peak in the world.
He’s been training around the hills of Bath. So if you see him hiking nearby, cheer him on!
Pull up Bars Have Arrived!
We have added 3 sets of pull up bars to our mat room (there’s 3 more to come). Hanging and weight bearing in the hands and arms has always been part of the Pilates system.
What are the benefits?
Pull ups are a fundamental compound movement that target the back and shoulder muscles like latissimus dorsi, serratus anterior; arm muscles like biceps brachii, and help to increase grip strength. We will also be adding some gymnastic rings to the pull up bars, which further enhances exercises by introducing an instability factor, demanding greater core engagement and recruiting smaller stabiliser muscles.
Successful Menopause Workshop
Our recent menopause workshop with Amy and Maria was a tremendous success! A huge thank you to them for sharing such profound knowledge and delivering an empowering dive into the subject. They did a brilliant job of grounding the information in evidence while providing practical takeaways for everyday life.

Looking for interest in a Pilates Class for
teenagers?
We know the years between 15 and 18 are crucial for developing great posture, core strength, and coordination. With this in mind, we're considering adding a new Pilates class specifically for teenagers to the timetable! Before we press “go”, we need your help to gauge the demand. If you have a teen (or know one!) who might be interested, please make sure you fill out the brief survey we'll be sending out shortly. Your feedback will help us get this great new class off the ground!
Please keep the noise down
We’ve had a word from our downstairs neighbours letting us know they’re hearing a bit too much noise, especially during our evening classes. We know you’re all doing brilliant work, but could we please all make a conscious effort to move any equipment—like those boxes, headrests and foot bars—as quietly as possible? Put a gentle 'foot down' rather than a 'thud' would be a massive help! Keeping the noise down means we can all stay on good terms with the whole building. Thanks a million for your understanding and your cooperation!
